Why Fabriculture?

“If our children don’t know our native animals, why would they want to save them?”

Fabriculture was founded by textile designer and mum, Penny Gale, after realising many kids could identify foxes and rabbits—but not a bilby or bettong. With a passion for conservation and design, Penny created Fabriculture to bridge this gap through thoughtful, engaging products.

Inspired at her children’s playgroup, Penny saw a lack of educational products featuring endangered Australian wildlife. So, she created Fabriculture to help raise awareness and inspire future generations to care for our native species.
